So after a long year of acquiring and replacing all requisite parts to get my GS850GL road worthy again I'm now faced with a performance issue. First off, I have not balanced my carbs as I don't own a balancing tool, so hopefully this is a chunk of the issue. The problem I'm encountering is the inability to get beyond 70 mph. I had it on the highway and @ 70mph I was pretty well pegged out, no where near red lining. It felt like if I kept running the road a few miles I could have slowly eased it passed 70, just didn't feel right. Any ideas? Also, if anyone reading this lives anywhere near Daytona Beach Florida and own a balancing tool would it be possible to meet up? I am after all a noob and I'd like a senior opinion on my overall work. Thanks in advance

I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.
