I used to recone speakers and I still have some glue. Gonna give it a shot this bites

Just do it and be done with it. I don't think you're going to have any problem with them. Those cracks are in the squish, mating top and bottom carb, compression area.Originally posted by BIG_brother View Postsigpic

Actually Steve, the cracks are on the leading edge of the crimp but still to the inside area. Its gonna leak air there unless he seals them. Yes to replace them with new is the order of the day, but they can be temperarily fixed..or even permanently..if he decides that then RTV or glue is good enough.

your speaker cone glue ? didn't work ?
did you try the RTV stuff as mentioned ?
put a blurb in the parts wanted section, sometimes a whole set of complete carbs are available....
it's all worth a shot before you spend the 400 bucks....
