Newbie here to the gs. Where do I put the seafoam?

Hello all. I just purchased my 3rd bike. A 1980 GS550E. The frame says 1979 but title says 1980 via VIN#. Anyways, the bike needs some tlc but runs good for the most part. Since the weather is nice I don't want a huge project so I figured I'd try to run sea foam through the vacuum line to do a cleaning. I've used it on my cars and it works great. I've never used it on a motorcycle before so I'm a little hesitant. I don't have a manual so not sure where the line is that needs to draw it in. I plan on a complete carb cleaning and possible jet later on this year. For now, just sea foam. Any help would be appreciated.

Good looking bike. Don't run anything through a sync port. What you want to do, is add 2-3 ounces into a full tank of fuel and run it through. A second dose would be good, as well.

It seems to want to die when pulling in clutch when I need to stop. Unless I keep some throttle on it which is kind of hard to do when braking. Like I said it needs a little tuning. I will pour your recommended amount in gas tank. I'm sure things are a little gunked up. Thanks everyone. I'm planning on a semi-cafe project this winter. Very excited I found this forum.

Try and adjust your idle screw up some.
