Making own carb gaskets

I am on a strict budget and still have a lot of things to go through since it is a new to me bike (1977 gs 750 b).

Any input would be appreciated since I could save a considerable amount of cash and pick up an ultrasonic cleaner from harbor freight instead, they are cheaper than carb dip.

What kind of a "strict budget" can't afford the $10-12 for a set of gaskets?

Have not priced an ultrasonic cleaner from Harbor Freight, but by the time you get the machine and the solution, you are telling me that you can get them both for less than $20? That's how much a can of Berryman's Carb Cleaner Dip costs. GUNK brand is about the same price.
