    77 750 vm carb / choke question

I have Been running my 77 gs 750 for a few years now with a light1/8 throttle stummble. After tooling the form I desiced to tinker. K and n filters and x pipe exhaust. 125 main 27.5 pilot one notch down on needle....now when I choke to start no luck. Will start with some throttle but when I choke it she wants to die. With 122.5 main and 17 pilot choke worked great but had the stummble.. I know that there r 3 settings for the 750 based on the motor number. my is 16xxx carbs are not original and I don't know the motor number from wich them can from. would that make a difference. are the body's the same just different jets?

That is way rich on the pilot. I'd go back to the original settings you had and tinker with the pilot fuel and air screws to try and eliminate the stumble.

I had a similiar stumble and found leaning out the pilot circuit a little eliminated it.
