    Hi,

There is a fairly extensive list of our favorite vendors in your "mega-welcome".

    For example:

The float bowl gasket, #32, is part# 13251-05C00 (replaces 13251-43410).

Send Rober Barr an email. His website is http://cycleorings.com. Aftermarket "carb kits" are not recommended because of the questionable quality of parts. All you normally need to rebuild your cars is an O-ring kit and float bowl gaskets. Just clean and dip all the metal parts. It's all in your "mega-welcome".

    Thank you for your indulgence,

    BassCliff

Yes ++ good for Robert Barr get the carb o-rings as well as the viton intake pipe o-rings.

These are the O-Ring seals just removed from a 1983 GS 550 L Suzuki. They are flattened to the point of being thinner than the dimension they are meant to seal.

I think my order was for less than 20 dollars in total. The bowl gaskets are fairly cheap from the OEM as well.

It will be good to take the carbs apart for a cleaning anyway.

I take it your efforts to start the bike ended with the leaking carb. It is just as well.

I am a hill billy and would have just tried a shot of ether to test if it would run. Some folks have a dread irrational fear of ether.
