    Carb CV 34mm needle question.

Been working on my carbs. All cleaned ready for assembly. I ordered a replacement needle/valve assembly from the local Suzuki dealer, the parts came in Suzuki labeled parts bag. The valve does not have a machined groove for the clip that I removed.......do I really need that clip installed, why did not factory part have groove, other than that looks exactly the same. Can I use new needle in old valve assembly? If's not one thing or another. Also found one of my bowl cover drain plug screw threads stripped out...posted for another in parts. thanks.

Good for you buying Suzuki parts! The clip on the float seat is not needed. So go ahead and use the new needle and seat.
