gsx1100et carbs/airbox
hi all just picked up a old gsx1100et but it diddent come with any carbs or air box and what i need to know is what carbs are the best to go for and will other airboxs fit (katana/efe? ect) or or is it easy to rejet standard carbs and run pods?Tags: None

I have a couple of sets of 34s. I'll build you a set with a Dynojet kit and throw in a set of K&N pods for $350 plus shipping.1983 GS 1100E w/ 1230 kit, .340 lift Web Cams, Ape heavy duty valve springs, 83 1100 head with 1.5mm oversized SS intake valves, 1150 crank, Vance and Hines 1150 SuperHub, Star Racing high volume oil pump gears, 36mm carebs Dynojet stage 3 jet kit, Posplayr's SSPB, Progressive rear shocks and fork springs, Dyna 2000, Dynatek green coils and Vance & Hines 4-1 exhaust.
1985 GS1150ES stock with 85 Red E bodywork.

Air boxes and carbs come up for them all the time on Ebay - there's loads out there. Watch out for the rubbers being hard on the air boxes (a new set will cost a bout £40) and the RH chrome side panel being rusty.
Bank on stripping the carbs and fitting new O rings - about £20ish from a Robert Barr (a GSR member). Watch out also for split diaphragms - they're not cheap.79 GS1000S
