Not sure what they go on, but I'm working on a guy's Yamaha Venture (those carbs set sideways) and those carbs have that on the side, it's enrichment valve, there is a small rubber diahpram and spring inside there. terrylee

Can you post up better picts?
      I have some parts from a 79 cb650.
I thought they were Keihin though.
      Carbs look similar though.
      Will try and find.

I'm with Crankhtat,we need a better pic and from what I see in that one I'd guess Keihin to.

that's the only pic i have.
they are on a bike for sale and the guy said 34mm mikuni CV's.
i have not seen the bike in person and the owner said these was on the bike when he bought it.
these are a rack of 4 and spaced for large GS/KZ model's.

I have a set of KZ1000J carbs that look like that. I believe its an anti-backfire valve that keeps it from back firing with the lean EPA jetting. Not posative but thats what Ive read on the KZ forum. The 3 sets of Suzuki carbs I have arent like that

              hmmmm
these are on a J model that has had the injection removed.
so maybe these are kawi carbs from a non injected model.
              good info...thanks
              p.s.
seller said they have a black choke knob where GS vacuums never had that option.

I think the name for the covered part is a cut off valve????

Rubber diaphram with a rounded ball on the end. Spring between the cover and the diaphram center.

I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.

Youre right, they are called air cutoff valves and they are anti-backfire valves that tie into the pilot circuit

                    more info...
                    supposed to be C H I P carbs.
in person they look like kawi J model carbs with the thick aluminum vacuum slide covers.
they say mikuni on them and have K&N 2-1/4" offset oval filters.

Except for the 3 bolt diaphargm deal mine look like ordinary BS34 Mikuni CVs & are off a KZ1000J
