    Something missing from my carbs?

I decided to tackle the carbs myself, opened them up and was removing the flat o-rings when I noticed carb # 1 (right hand side) is missing the aluminum plug, is that supposed to have a plug like the other 3?
If it is missing, wonder where it went?

    Carbs are from a 1980 GS1000S 34MM CV Type.

I believe its plugged because there are no pilot screws on the bottom of CVs. So the answer would be yes it should be plugged like the others.

Get some aluminum round stock and make your own. Just a tad tight or some JB weld smeared on to hold it in.

Should be there. the bowl gasket also seals it so still should still work

Thanks Chuck, I'll see what I can find around my shop, should have something close, if not I can get a plug machined to fit.

IF you have one turned down on a lathe, have the guy making it make it 1 or 2 thousands bigger than the ID of the hole so its a good snug fit. It doesn't have to be real thick either..just maybe 1/8 inch or so to plug it well.
