    GS 750- carb issue?

I recently tamed an electrical issue to get my 1977 gs 750 running, now since putting carbs and everything back on I.E pod filters , I can get the bike running if I spray a little starter fluid on the filters but with out it theres nothing. also my bike is straight piped, I know its probably not the best but hey im a young college guy and it sounds cool. so my question is , is this a jetting/carburetor issue due to the pod filters and straight pipes? and if so what would be the necessary steps and precautions to make my wonderful Suzuki and I happy.

firstly you will need to strip and dip your carbs to THOROUGHLY clean them.
then buy a stage 3 Dynojet kit to get your jetting somewhere near the ballpark you need to run pods and straight through pipes. it will then need fine tuning.

also check your valve clearances and ignition timing are all set to spec.

even easier would be to refit the airbox and fit a decent exhaust system

Just remember, an opinion without 3.14 is just an onion!
