Can cb550 4-1 exhaust fit gs550?

Dear all,

Need help if anyone knows since im eyeing for the Carpy 4-1 exhaust but they only hv for cb and not gs however just wondering if they are the same size?.. Thnks ..

i very much doubt it. the header pipe spacing needs to be the same as the GS, which is unlikely. also i doubt that the clearance at the front and underneath is the same,to clear the frame and the sump, also the rear hanger mount will need modifying in some way to bolt it on.

Well if it could be made to fit it would sure be nice. Does anyone have a honda 550 laying around they could measure the port spacing and diameter?

would be interested to know too... Pipes can probably be bent gently with heat but are the header ports the same size or close enough too, as to not create exhaust leaks too.

The mounting can be sorted easy enough with new tabs! Any takers?
