    Fuel Sender

I pulled the fuel sender out of the gas tank because the float came off the rod. I've successfully fished the float out of the tank and now I'm trying to figure out how to keep it from coming off the rod again. Does anyone have any thoughts how to do this?

Big thin flat washer and a speed nut. Put float on rod, washer to hold it there, and speed nut to hold it all on the rod again.

I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.

Does the float have a groove in it that rides along the rod, once it is in its proper place?

Use a nylon zip-tie to hold it there.
