Exhaust bolt
Hello. I just got home and noticed that one of the two bolts that hold my right side exhaust on has broken off. it doesn't seem to be leaking. The part on the engine that the exhaust clamp bolts into is also broken. Is there an easy fix for this or is it ok to run it this way. Thanks in advanceTags: None -

The threaded part on the head is broken and won't hold a bolt in it. Is it ok to job weld the bolt in to the head or is there some epoxy that I could use so it could be removed one day -

Sounds like you need to remove the broken portion of the bolt and fit a Helicoil. Or is the area around the thread broken away completely? Sure, you could weld it up, but it would make it very difficult to remove next time round.
Pictures might help.Comment

Yeah it's the part around the threads that's completely gone. Will prob carry it to a welder and see about getting a new tab welded on and rethreadedComment
