leaking float bowl
I've just cleaned out my carbs and re-fitted them to find a leak from no 4 float bowl. I always thought the fuel level never came up to the gasket. Can anyone confirm this and I'll then check out float level etc. ThanksTags: None

If you have CV carbs please check the carb rebuild tutorial linked in my signature. Best to verify fuel level, not just float height.Last edited by Nessism; 10-06-2013, 11:14 PM.Ed

You're right - the float valve should ensure that the fuel level stays below the gasket so either the float is sticking, float height is incorrect or the valve and / or seat is worn.79 GS1000S
