Hi, does anyone know if there is a difference with carbs on bike from California and ones from east coast. I have 2 GS 1150's the one bike has hoses one the sides of the carbs, the other bike does not. Only noticed because I was going to take them off to have them rebuilt. And, any recommendations on who to send them to for a rebuild.

I am not aware of any special California models, but that does not mean that they don't exist.

Although I don't advertise in the "Services" forum, I am one that does carb rebuilds.

The CA 1150s have a charcoal canister that will prevent smog
The CA models has vacuum nipples on each carb and 120 pilot air jets. Non-CA models have no nipples and 125s.
