The two hoses that feed the carbs atmospheric pressure should be replaced.
Basically those hoses allow the supply of air to be introduced from up under the seat free of windage and the varying vacuum that it would \ does produce.
The other spaghetti can go though.

I noticed with my 1150 carbs when I blocked off the charcoal canister hoses that I had to go up one size on the pilot air jet. Example: 120 CA stock to a 125. These are the jets on the filter side of carbs on the outside edge of the throat.
I could not get a nice idle until I did so.1983 GS 1100E w/ 1230 kit, .340 lift Web Cams, Ape heavy duty valve springs, 83 1100 head with 1.5mm oversized SS intake valves, 1150 crank, Vance and Hines 1150 SuperHub, Star Racing high volume oil pump gears, 36mm carebs Dynojet stage 3 jet kit, Posplayr's SSPB, Progressive rear shocks and fork springs, Dyna 2000, Dynatek green coils and Vance & Hines 4-1 exhaust.
