I've rebuilt a few sets of carbs now and I'm amazed that I learn something new every time I read your carb rebuild instructions.
The once piece I'm still a bit cautious around is how to know when I've bottomed out the pilot screws and not gone to far, (or not enough) should you be able to feel the tip through the top of the throat of the carb ?
I have been turning them in until I feel a slight resistance, then backing them out 2 1/2 turns. I have had a couple of screws that were very hard to remove and they are quite firm and hard to get a feel for when reinstalling, I've tried finding a bottoming tap to cleanup the threads but have not found one yet so I just have to do it by best guess. I believe the thread is 6mm X .05.2018 Honda Africa Twin AS
