Where can I get this stuff?

All I can find online from Renegade is their parts washer, the tub and pump and everything.

Also thinking of trying Purple power and water. Anyone tried this?

This stuff is expensive. The funny thing is that they claim a 44lb shipping weight, but when it comes it's a five gallon jug with a few ounces of ultra-concentrate and instructions to mix with water to make the five gallon concentrate. Then we dilute it even further to get the final mix strength. This stuff really works and is planet friendly!

I'd try a few of those self adhesive rubber feet available at various hardware stores. I figure one at each corner would probably shut that right up.

For the cleaner I used a product called Shellac Buster by Sharpertek. It comes in a gallon and you mix it with 85% water. It was about $60. but I made the mistake of having it shipped across the border. Later I met someone with an Ogdensburg address who does this all the time and could have saved the duties and tax. Amazing stuff though. I had previously done the carbs with Kleen-Flo carb cleaner - nasty stuff to work with, and could not believe what came out after half an hour in the sonic tank. No adverse reaction to the aluminum. It is non hazardous and eco friendly.

I have some of that Kleen-Flo to,thus the interest in a ultrasonic.But I'm wondering for the price of getting all the stuff up here if this might be a better option http://www.ebay.ca/itm/NEW-2-5L-ULTR...c01dc30&_uhb=1 All most the same dimensions but about 1/2 the depth,80mm will cover a carb.Add in a heater and more power it seems like a good deal.

As I posted in that thread. You have to be carefull on how some companies spec out the cleaners. Most low power units are speced out as a combined sonic power and heating power level as a single power in Watts. Another words, a 160W unit may actually only be 60W of sonic power and 100W of heating power. That same unit is rebranded as many company names and carries the same 160W spec but some call out the actual figures while others don't.

Is a 2.5L capacity large enough to submerge a single carb? The units we used on the flight line required that the parts be fully submerged to avoid the risk of leaving marks on the water level line on some parts.. not sure if that was just "better safe than sorry" SOP or an actual concern...

My VM22 carbs just barely don't fit under water, a little corner of it sticks out. All of the passages and things fit under the liquid. I can fit two at once, but apparently it cleans better with only one?

Sounds good, its the internals we're trying to get clean after all.. Could it be that the two carbs in at once absorb more of the vibes than a single carb? Interesting..

In order to do 4 at once you'd have to increase the size of the tank to around 14 inches long by 6 inches wide and 6 inches deep. Volume would be 504 cubic inches or about 8.2 liters. For that volume and mass you'd need about 400 watts of power @40khz.
