    Float needle sticking

I haven't taken the carbs apart yet but I'm getting gas blown into the air box. If I were to guess, I have a stuck needle. Should I order new needles or clean the existing ones?

That's about what I figured. At least, I know how to get them on and off pretty quickly now .

They rarely get damaged unless there's a million miles on them.

I'm nowhere near a million miles yet

            Yes...

My 450 had a brass float full of gas.

It's rare Usually it it just dirty or the O ring on the float valve is leaking

Thumper, which model had the brass floats?

A stuck float needle valve wouldn't allow fuel into the bowl at all.
But if there's some dirt or something stopping the valve from sealing, or if it's worn, then you could see fuel getting into the airbox.
Easy to check and clean them.
And on the seventh day, after resting from all that he had done,God went for a ride on his GS!
Upon seeing that it was good, he went out again on his ZX14! But just a little bit faster!

I found that the needles on my carbs stick too. So I decided now they are apart to renew the assembly.
