How do you visually determine carb sizes
I see 29 and 33 mm smooth bores on sale on ebay for 400 plus dollars.
I cannot see the differences in them is it just the opening diameter that determines the difference?Tags: None

The definitive way, of course, is to measure the diameter of the outlet.
Visually, there are differences in the way that they look, but I don't know either one well enough to recognize them, let alone be able to tell them apart.
If you can post pictures of the ones you are interested in, I am sure that someone will be able to guide you.

you cant mistake 33s. Only carb that looks like this......
Or 29s with 17mm nut in float bowl and a square casting on the right hand side if i recall and both have a "smooth bore" in the throat.....
