Also, I went with pods instead of the big airbox. What do I do with that hose that comes off the top of the engine and goes to the air box? Ridiculous questions I know, but its the simple questions that I just cant seem to find answers for in the manual.

I wasn't responsible for taking the carbs off, but I'm responsible for putting them back on. long story! I'm a first time builder. I noticed in a couple pics that there are several hoses that look to come off the carbs, yet I have no tubes. can anyone help?

Hey Big T. I went to Bikecliffs site. I still couldn't find any info on what to do with the breather hose now that I have pods. Also most of the info was for 1980 16 valve, so would my 8 valve 1979 still have the same hoses?

There should be a manual on Basscliff's site that you can download to answer your hose question. I think Big T was trying to get you to look at that thread about pods, pipes, ect to see what they did. The hose from the crankcase needs to be able to vent gases and catch any oil. some place a filter on the end others have it go into a dangling can. I ( AND MANY OTHERS) prefer the stock air box. Pods can lead to a lot of work. Check out the thread he posted. http://www.thegsresources.com/_forum...=199275&page=4
