    rubber cap missing(or supposedly not)

Hello my fellow gs riders. I have a problem(or maybe not) before attempting to clean my carbs.
My bike was running absolutely fine before attempting this besides for having to keep her alive with blips of the throttle from a cold start(broken choke link). After a few min she would idle fine and I wouldnt have to blip it. Well anyways I started out from the bottom with the bowls and noticed theres one rubber cap missing on one of the carbs im guessing pilot jet( in front of or behind the big jet sticking out the bottom). I just want to know if It needs to be there and misplaced it and if so where can I get a replacement
Hopefully from a store like home depot or bennet? Maybe autozone(which I am doubting already) please let me know. And yea all other caps are on.

It needs to be there and you won't find them at HD. You can pick them up from Z1 or any number of motorcycle parts retailers. What bike do you have?

Darn, with so many daily riders it's hard to decide which one to jump on next.;)

I replaced all mine when I rebuilt the carbs. Mine were all hard and cracked. I got them from Z1:

Z1 Enterprises specializes in quality Motorcycle parts for Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha Classic Japanese motorcycles from the 1970's and 1980's.

Note, that's for my 1980 GS550L. They might be slightly different for your bike, but Z1 should have them.

Thanks alot man. As I said the bike was running fine before. If I did perhaps lose one I hope this fixes the cranky cold starts in the a.m.

            You live "down under"?

Your bike seems to be stuck to the ceiling.
