1978 GS Carb kit help
I am rebuilding a 1978 GS 400, have been all over the internet looking for a carb rebuild kit. Save for one generic kit I've found on eBay, I haven't really found one I feel confident in. Feel like this would be the place to get some experienced folks' direction.....any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

90% of the time you don't need "carb kits", just new O-rings. In fact, ditching the OEM Japanese made Mikuni jets for generic so call equivalents is a recipe for frustration. All this has been documented literally hundreds of times here in various threads. cycleorings.com sells a 450 O-ring kit, but I'm not positive it's a match. You might want to do some research to find out...Ed

Thank you! I've read a few times here that the no-name kits usually don't end well...I'll heed the advice of my GS elders and save myself a headache or 20!

Trying not to clog up the board with multiple threads....
Does anyone know or could direct me to a resource to see if a 1977 GS450 header set will work on my 78 GS 400?
Conventional wisdom tells me it will. I have a line on a header set/collector for $80....
Or does anyone have a 78 GS header set they feel like selling?
