Possible Petcock Problem
My '79 GS750E developed in a new issue....it won't stay running unless the petcock is in the prime position. I suspect there's a problem with the petcock...time for a petcock rebuild kit or a new petcock? Ironically, new carb and intake O-rings were on the way as routine maintenance before this issue popped up. Any other issues I should be checking?'79 GS750 - 4th and current ride...first since 1983
'73 CB350 - 1st ride
'76 GT750 - 2nd ride - the "water buffalo" - sold to buy an engagement ring
'79 RD400F Daytona Special - 3rd ride, the last of the street legal US 2-strokes - sold to buy a houseTags: None

Would be a good time for a valve adjustment if you haven't done one in a while. And would be a good time as well to give your electrical connections a good cleaning and replace anything questionable and or burnt.sigpicMrBill Been a GSR member on and off since April 2002

Reconnecting a vacuum line will help the mixture in that cylinder too.
