The plug is to seal the passage that's created during the manufacturing process. It is not available from Suzuki. You might want to post a request for it in the help wanted section. I'm sure that someone here has one laying around. There's usually a flat rubber o-ring that goes on top to keep it in place.

Yes on popping one out of another carb and making a copy. Doesnt need to be aluminum..can be steel. And yes theres a thin oring that goes between it and the gasket to keep it nice and snug in there.

I don't know any of the dimensions, but it is not a straight cylinder, it is slightly tapered.

looks like you have one in the other carb, see if it will pop out.

The bottom has a small undercut, other wise it will not sit all the way down, the rubber washer is a flat washer, but I used an oring as I couldn't find one the matched the others and it seems fine.

For those of us that can't machine these plugs at work, is there anywhere that I can purchase these? I checked the partsnmore.com link, but couldn't find anything. As a last resort, I can ask a machinist buddy, but I hate bothering someone for this. Seems like someone should have these available.

Not the same plug. You are referring to the rubber plug that covers the pilot jet.

Grana needs the aluminum plug that goes into the bottom of the throat, as shown in the attached picture in the first post.

Are you saying that you need one, too?

Grana started the thread, asking about one, now you mention one, but did not specifically say you need one.

If you do need one, I can check my spare carbs to see if I have one that is loose.

Ya I was not totally clear there. In fact I wasn't clear at all. I do need a plug. I cleaned my carbs and had to replace one due to a stripped pilot from the previous owner. The carb I bought on ebay was missing the plug, go figure. So now I am stuck with no plug and I'd really like to stay away from asking a favor of a machinist for this little part. If you have one, it would make life much easier. I'd really like to ride this thing at some point this year haha!
