    Safe to ass-u-me?

    ....that carbs & carb rack for '81 GS850GL are the same as '80 GS850G? Looks to be plug-and-play. Microfiche part numbers appear to be the same.

    plug-and-play. Not 100% sure about the choke set up on the L model but I think they're the same as well.

      Yep, "plug and play".

      The only change to the "choke" came in '82, when the control moved to the left handgrip.
