Hello, I am relatively new to the forum. I have a simple question that is not so simple to me. I have completely rebuilt this carb. When I removed the pilot air jets from the back side of the carb (airbox side) they where snug tight. Is this an adjustable air jet or were they proper by being snug tight?

They were properly snug.
The adjustable items on these carbs are very few:
1. Float height. Spec is 22.4 mm +/- 1.0 mm
2. Idle speed. 1050 rpm +/- 50 rpm.
3. Pilot screw (also known as "mixture" screw) on the top of the engine side of the carb. Start with it 3 full turns out from 'lightly-seated'. When the engine is warm, slowly turn each screw in until you hear the highest engine speed. It might only change 10 or 20 rpm, but you should notice a difference. When it is all over, you will probably find the screws between 2 and 2 1/2 turns out, but starting at 3 will make it easier to start.
4. Carb sync. Use gauges to get the vacuum levels of all the carbs to match.

Steve, thank you for your response, i looked high and low for this answer, even on this site. The reason this was confusing is be because when looking up information concerning the adjustments of this carb, there are a lot of references to the air screw. Didn't want to put the air box back on with out knowing. Wish me luck and thank you againComment
