1/2" drive, for me, is the only size that has a socket for the rear axle nut. Beyond that it's mostly the 1/4" set and sometimes the 3/8" set as well.

Darn, with so many daily riders it's hard to decide which one to jump on next.;)

It all depends on the sockets you have. My hodgepodge of cheap sockets are mostly 1/4" up to a certain size (14mm?) and 3/8" after that. I believe all of my deep-well impact sockets are 1/2".

Anybody know if you can order that “special tool” for the synch screws and locknuts anymore and what it might be called to search for??

Maybe start a new thread instead of asking in a 10 year old one would get better answers?

When I die, just cremate me and put me in my GS tank. That way I can go through these carbs, one more time!https://www.thegsresources.com/_forum/core/images/smilies/cool.png

Just thought this one already had the relevant information. Tried searching for a post that already discussed it but didn’t know what terms to search for.
