    Pilot fuel spring

So I managed to lose two of my pilot fuel springs when I was cleaning the main carb bodies. It is my first time doing a complete rebulid and I overlooked them until I saw one fall out. Any way Z1 seems to be out of stock any one have a source for these. I have a 78 GS750 with the Mikuni carbs.
    Thanks

I have modified a BIC Clic spring to use in the fuel screw. All it does is keep the screw from turning, it's not really all that critical.

A hardware store may have something closer to the original shape to start with, if you are in a region of the world that has hardware stores.

Ok cool the spring looks real close to what is in a ball point pen, I just didnt know if they had to be exact or not.

Not really, if the screw isn't turning on it's own the spring is working.

Be careful though, it will make the screw feel different, if this causes you to screw it all the way in the screw tips will get stuck, break off, and possibly ruin the carburetor.
What I do is watch the screw tip stick it's tiny end up into the port in the bottom of the bore as you turn it in, with no spring installed. Find where it is all the way in without the spring, then put the spring on and go to the same place. Do not try to bottom the screw with the spring installed. It's that easy to go too far and break one off.
