I just purchased a choke cable 4 a gs 850g..I was just wondering there's a plastic sleeve on one end of the cable .does that end go to carb end or the lever end ..peter

Obviously not a '79 850, they had a lever on the carbs.
Obviously not an '80 or '81, they had a knob on one end, making it very obvious.
Must be for '82 or '83 (unless you are not in North America).
Problem there is ... I don't have a plastic sleeve at either end of any of mine.

Maybe the 750. The '79 850 had the same choke setup as the 80 - 81's. And the same problem with operation (friction / no friction) ... but no sleeve that I can recall.Originally posted by Steve View Postand God said, "Let there be air compressors!"
