I have a new to me 1978 GS550. Cleaned and dipped the carbs, complete with new o-rings. I noticed that the pilot fuel screws were not the same. Three are, but one is different as you can see in the picture. How big a deal is this and where could I find a screw to replace the oddball? Am I correct that the third screw is the oddball? Thank you for your help.

Pilot fuel screws are not the same in my carbs
Good afternoon,

It looks to me that the only difference is the length?
Z1 Enterprises specializes in quality Motorcycle parts for Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha Classic Japanese motorcycles from the 1970's and 1980's.
Looks even different than yours. May need to call them on those.
If you do call, let me know too, I need a set for my carbs since the PO broke all 4 off in my carbs.

The short one may be a long one that broke off, resharpened to a new tip. I have done this a few times, just chuck it in a drill and turn it down with a sander or something. It works OK but the short screw will be at a different position to get the mixture right, so it takes a lot more trial and error to get it in the right spot.
If the tips are gone they are probably still stuck in the carb blocking the flow through the pilot circuit.
