    Looking for some advise

Ok so I re shimmed all of valves, rebuilt and cleaned my carbs and rebuilt my carb set up is need notch 2nd one up from bottom main jets 117.5 stock pilot jet.4into1 exhaust no muffler and pods.I also installed dyna s ignition and set the timing perfect....I turned the fuel screw out 2 turns (I wasint sure where to start) and the air screw out 1/14. I got my bike to start right up no problem I synced the carbs and I got the bike to rev smooth but my promlem now is when the bike gets hot it smokes and I'm not sure why if anyone has any advise I'd be greatful.

We need more info..such as year and model of the bike. What color smoke? Does it smell of raw fuel or oil? Since you mentioned both air and fuel screws I assume we are talking about VM carbs. Set the bottom ( PILOT SCREWS ) at no more than 7/8 out from gently seated. Side ( MIXTURE SCREWS ) at 2 out. These are the baseline settings and you tweek from there. Good thing about VMs is that you set the bottom ones and forget them for the most part. The fuel to air ratio is adjusted via the mixture screws on the side.

Oh sorry I forgot to mention my bikes 1978 gs750 ....the smoke has a light blue tint to it but it's more or less white I'm thinking (hoping) it's residue in the exhaust concidering I got it off a Kawasaki in the junkyard and didint clean the inside of it....and I'm sorry I'm a little confused when you say 7/8

There are two screws like i said. The pilot screws on the BOTTOM are set at no more than 7/8 of a turn out from gently seated. the factory set them at about 3/4 out due to all the EPA bullchit back in the day. Now that we know its a 78 750 and it has VM carbs we are able to share our experience. Ive had that bike, and I have the 77 570 as well as 4 GS 1000s. And the default setting for the clips on the needles is the center groove by the way.

        Heres your service manual.
