    cheap exhaust solutions

I'm rebuilding my GS400 on a limited budget, I'm going for a WWII rat rod sort of image, a bit scruffy and a bit 1940's looking. The exhaust is in a poor state, rusted through, I ran some exhaust heat wrap around the headers to bandage the holes which helped with the retro look but didn't really help with the gasses killing me . Are there any cheap solutions to replace the exhaust? It would be nice to fit the retro British style dead straight end can. Any tips, pointers, etc. PS: I'm in Australia but I'd buy in the US if I need to.

For real, check ebay and see the prices. I know you're in Australia so shipping could kill you, but I got a complete GS850G exhaust system with no holes or anything for $90 USD shipped.

doesn't the gs500 exhaust have the same pipe diameter, but may hit the frame in a spot. If i recall from my friend doing a 450.

I found a pair of Triumph pipes which were exactly the style I was after. Price not too bad for local stock.

I'll post a pic once they are fitted.
