Vm mystery ,
on my 79 1000E , I rebuilt my VM 26s carb , new o rings, the works, was looking good till I when to check float height , the # 2 would not stop leaking out the over flow , I switched ever thing around ,and still leaks #2 . so I took them back all apart, check ever thing , when all said and done ,what I found stumped me , the over flow tube was split from top to bottom, ? has any one ever see one split before if so what caused it to to split ???Tags: None

I too was gonna say try soldering the split shut since you have a replacement..no work..no foul. And i also wonder if there is any sort of gas proof tubing that could be sleeved over such a split???? Sort of like the sleeve thats over the wire in a sending unit. It isnt hurt by the fuel so find something that would work in the bowls maybe??????MY BIKES..1977 GS 750 B, 1978 GS 1000 C (X2)
