    Pepe LePews petcock leaks

Was fine all summer. Parked the bike in the storage shed a few months ago and it was good then. Fast forward til today...Oil had gas in it and I did my drip lines into the seperate bottles test and sure enough, the main fuel line nipple is leaking in the ON position.

I also noticed that if I grabbed the handle and gave it just a little pull outward from the face of the petcock it leaked real fast.......so i got a question here. Do you guys think the cold can actually contract the seals and such enough that they leak in the cold and not in the heat?

The handle feels tight and turns free but just a tad out pressure on it ( while in the ON position ) and it runs fuel pretty good.

Screws are tight..checked that. Wonder if just that washer thing with the 4 holes in it will fix this? Not gonna go the rebuild kt route..been there and wasted my money there.

No weeping from the vacuum nipple.

      Sitting Bike

Now you got me concerned. I haven't cranked my parked bike since I got here last Monday. But I did notice just a tad of fuel on the rubber boots from the carbs to the intakes.

I haven't decided whether or not I wanna trail my bike to JAX yet...I think I need a release from the daily m-f grind.

I hope you can figure out what's going on with your bike. I think the cold weather does affect it sitting in your garage.

Ordered the gasket with the 4 holes in it that goes in right behind the lever. See if that does the fix...$2.49 if it does. And if it doesnt then save the gasket and spring for a new petcock.
