Quick question about the hoses on, I think carb #2 and #4? I'm pretty sure they're breather hoses or something along those lines because I remembered where the petcock vacuum was along with petcock fuel line

On the rear top of #2 ( from left to right as you sit on the bike ) is a nipple..that one goes to the petcock. Fuel tee is obviously between 2 and 3. The others are vents that are not capped off. Depending on the air cleaner system, you will run the vent hoses over the top outer edges of the stock box and down the back..putting the hose between the tranny and swing arm.
If pods..then just run them down between the carbs and between the tranny and swingarm. trim them off about 1 inch below the bottom of the oil pan.MY BIKES..1977 GS 750 B, 1978 GS 1000 C (X2)

I believe these hoses are off of the fuel tees. So they're just vents?Comment

Should be only 1 fuel tee that lets fuel to the carbs. The other two should be vents. Post a picture of what you have now so we can better help please.MY BIKES..1977 GS 750 B, 1978 GS 1000 C (X2)

Lets try this ...
the fuel tee from the tank to the carbs is between carbs 2 and 3 down near the rim of where the bowls bolt on.
The other two black plastic nipples are between 1 and 2 and between 3 and 4 up higher than the lower fuel tee is. These are vents.MY BIKES..1977 GS 750 B, 1978 GS 1000 C (X2)
