Fit on V&H 4 into 1 set

Hi, turns out the V&H 4 into 1 set I had offered is V&H model S501. V&H said it was for a GS1100. No other info as to any specific version of that bike or the years it fit as they do not have their own old records (????)

Might anyone know if this could fit a GS850G (unk year) that one of the members has in Phil area. Long shot but maybe this has occurred in another time & another universe, I mean the possibility of a cross fit.

If it fits a GS1100 then it should be able to be used on the 850G with some minor modifications. The two areas that are going to be different are the bolt spacing at the head and the rear hanger. You will need to slot the openings in the flanges at the header pipe and fabricate some type of rear hanger. The pipe center spacing should be the same. Not pretty but not impossible.
