    78 1000 Fuel Tank Newb

Ok guys, here is the deal, 1st off I am so green I thought I saw Shrek this morning but then I realized I was lookin into a mirror.
I just got a 78 1000 without a tank. I've been searching & reading on here on how to solve my problem. Apparently there are only a few tanks that I can get to go on my bike, early 80s 750/1100 or a 78/79 1000... But am I correct in understanding that the easiest to find (the early 80s tanks) will require some petcock mods, or maybe even carb mods????
I'd like to get this bike up and running ASAP but my pockets are not very deep. I'm not a purest so any tank will do for now.

Someone please tell me what to do...

So that's an 80s tank? I thought only the 78s had indents on the sides??? I think I'm getting more confused by the min.

        Nessism-
        Thanks for that pic.
I saved it to my phone, hoping to hit a used bike shop on Tuesday after work. That will help!
