Miss at high RPM under load
I can run the bike all the way to redline in first and second but third, fourth and fifth the bike loses serious power about 6.5-7k RPM. The bike has a DJ stage 3 with K&N dual pods (one for 1&2 a second for 3&4). The carbs have been dipped with new o-rings and I have 4-1 exhaust with "performanc" baffle from MAC. I am leaning towards too large main jets but could it be a fuel starvation issue at that low of speed (3rd gear)? I run a fuel filter because the tank has a little surface rust that gets through the petcock filter and I never had an issue with this before the DJ kit with a fuel filter. Has anyone had similar problems?Tags: None

Yeah, I feel like a 650 with a stock engine wouldn't have a fuel starvation issue even under the highest fuel demand with an inline filter. The filter is also brand new

I'm using the larger DJ mains that they recommend with an aftermarket exhaust. I'll remove the filter and see what happens.
