Agree on the valves. In fact, do all the maintenance. Check the Newbie Mistakes thread linked in my signature for a list of items to be aware of.

Carbs are back together, runs great until it warms up then still stalling, valve clearances range from .001-.003 inches, I am going to adjust all valves to .003 inches and see what happens. Thank you Nessism I will check that out.

Can i ask is this stalling (only when hot) ONLY when it is idling ? and has been for 5 minutes ?
(Ill be honest i dont think my bike would want to idle for 5 mins)

Just that you dont say - so does it stall after the 5 minutes if you are riding it ?
what if you gave it a good reving when idling would that extend the 5 mins until stalling ?

Is the pilot air screw set correctly ? on carbs. Think factory setting is 2 turns out ? ish.

My old bike was transformed with new carb to head rubber circular o ring seals and ticks over perfectly now.
(All other tuning obviously done too)

Ok getting ready to give up! This bike was sitting for 12 years and was givin to me. I have taken care of a charging issue, set all valves to .0025-.003, soaked carbs and jets in carb dip all jets are factory spec jets. Replaced carb boots, orings and clamps also replaced carb. orings. When the bike stalls it will not restart until it cools back down. I have not had it on the road but if I keep reving it it will stay running, battery voltage is 12.6-13 volts strong.
