78 running too lean

Hey guys! Wanted to say thanks to every one who responded to my first post that gave me some help with my fuel issues big help she got me up to bike week. Now I'm having one more issue. Shes running to lean and overheating. Just wondering if there's some typical fixes for this problem. She's got pods and straight piped.

of course, she's running lean. Hopefully you didn't have travel too far to get to Laconia. Figure that it was not rejetted for this situation, despite any claims to contrary. Time to open carbs up and see what's there before this critter melts in this heat.

The engine.

Loud pipes cause anger in the general (non biking) populus, and this gets taken out on all bikers, including those with proper mufflers.

The faster you burn up your engine and get the bike off the road the better (in the minds of some - including me). On the other hand if you were to be responsible and install a proper muffler, there are people around here that will jump through hoops offering you help.

Mine runs great with 105s, but it's not got straight pipes. I'm not enough of a jackass for that. Waking up babies and scaring old ladies is not how I get my kicks.

Your pistons... the engine in general. Straight pipes are for the track, not the street.

I tried spraying the carbs down to make sure there was no vacume problems. Nothing. So in assuming I need new jets. And my material for my new exhaust should be here in a few days. Any one have any idea what I should increase the jets by?
