am i nutz or the fich is wrong for airbox clamps/ 81 GS550T

I need TWO airbox to carb clamps. the Air Cleaner parts Fiche on many websites says this part is a $1 washer and also lists a "RING"????? that is $4...
When you google image search the part # for the ring it does indeed show a RING>>?#$% but it is SOLID??????
Does the 550 have some sort of inner ring inside the boots to stiffen them????
    I'm cornfused

When I look up for the82 model years.. it does show the CLAMP properly but still with a ring? I don't understand what this "ring" is..but the 82 looks exactly what I need.. same style. The older ones are very much different. I guess I found a typo but wonder WTH that ring is?? I never remember one from all the bikes I've had apart????

The ring is used inside the intake boot to lock it into the air box. Not sure if your 550 had them but my 850 and 1000's have them.

The 550 does have the metal ring inside the airbox boots but I've run without them and did not have any issues.

And yes, the airbox fiche for our bike is wrong on everything. The part number you need for the actual clamps is 09402-60208 which is part #12 on the fiche
