    exhaust swap?

idle curiosity here (get it, idle?), but i've got an '83 GS1100E with a stock airbox and Supertrapp 4-1, and I have a (non working) 78 GS1000E with pods and a Kerker 4-1.

I like the look of the kerker better. it's black and awesome and has cool angles.

Will these exhausts swap? even if they'd both fit, would the bike run appropriately or would it require rejetting?

I'm assuming this would be a pretty big pain in the ass and require a lot more finessing than i'm interested in doing, especially considering that the 1100 works and runs great as is, but I have to admit every time I see the Kerker is kind of makes me wonder.

It'll fit at the head, may need an adapter strap at the back

    Jetting should be close

Go ahead, give it a try. It's less than an hour to swap them out

that's assuming i don't snap 5/8 header bolts (the way i did when removing the exhaust from my 850G)
