All this is is a temp fix. Doesnt matter what you do to the rubber coated style, the leak stopping is temporary and they will leak again. The oring style dont..and they are easily reoringed when something else happens and the rack needs broke down.

Meh, mine don't, once they get wet with gas and the seals swell up they are good.

Depends on how long they have been dry in my experiences with them. in any case, its my opinion only, that they SUCK.

Maybe we got lucky. Mine have been leak free for 10 - 11 years now. Trick is if you get them to stop leaking make sure you keep then wet. If the carbs are apart for a while just stick them in small ziplock with some oil on them.

New metal ones with O-rings are on order from Z1 but they could not tell me for sure when the back ordered items will be coming in to them. Once they get here and winter is upon us, I will pull the carbs off and do a proper and permanent fix.

Ive fixed them with Plast-Dip before. Dip each end in one time & hang on a piece of wire, hang up to dry. The next day put some silicone on them and slide them in and your done. Obviously new ones would be better but mine have worked for 3 years so far
