    Choke Cable Is Stuck Closed

I finally got this beast up and running today, but now I can't open the choke anymore. After turning it off after the initial startup, I can't for the life of me pull that stem back up. It moves by hand near the carbs when I grab it, so there's nothing obstructing the movement, the cable is just stuck. Anyone ever experience this, or have any tips for getting it loose?

    Certainly it happens.
I got another summer of riding after lubing it with a silicone spray. Eventually the wire started to fray and it was time for a replacement.
I would spring for a new one, less than $20.00.
