1000 exhaust on an 850
My search skills must be lacking, I haven't found much on this subject. I have read that the 850 and 1000 have the same exhaust port size and spacing, but the bolt spacing is different. Has anyone here done a swap? It seems that slotting the collars would be involved. Anyone have pics of that?https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B9zH8w8Civs8ejBJWjdvYi1LNTg&resourcekey=0-hlJp0Yc4K_VN9g7Jyy4KQg&authuser=fussbucket_1%40msn.com&usp=drive_fs

Don't have any pictures, but I can tell you what I did.
I had a set of 1000 pipes to replace some damaged pipes on my 850 and found that the studs were a bit farther apart on the 1000, so the holes on the 850 collars would have to be slotted, as you mentioned. Before I got started on that, Dogma called me for some help. He had a set of 850 pipes that he had gotten to replace the pipes on his 1000 and found the same thing. We swapped pipes. Since we live just a few miles away from each other, it was an easy thing to do.
Somehow, I doubt you might get that lucky, but it's worth a try.
