How do I remove the jet needle?

Ok - my brain says that i need to remove the retaining clip to disassemble and remove the needle (going to move to a stage 3 kit). If that's true - what in the world do i use to do this? I have 3 pairs of retaining clip pliers, and none of them reach deep enough into the slide to be able to pinch the clip together. What do you guys use?? the culprit:

Yes, there are some retaining clip pliers that reach down there, but Craftsman 5 1/2" long-nose pliers will do the job quite well, too. They also happen to be on sale.

You might have to file the sharp corners off the tips to round them down a bit to fit in the clips. After that, they work beautifully.

Ahh - i didn't even think about long nose pliers having a small enough tip (and enough rigidity) to get the job done. Thank you!

I've used long needle nose pliers that I filed down. I have also filed down my snap ring pliers enough to fit into the slide.
