Exhaust welded on? Is a slip-on possible without having to weld?

Hi, own a 2005 GS500F and have been wanting to replace the exhaust but noticed it is welded on there. What is the easiest way to go about doing that? I'm in the slow process of giving it a cafe racer look and have a K&N filter on the way. I'll probably install the filter with the restrictor on until I put on my new exhaust and then I'll take off the restrictor and re-jet. Any tips or advice on my future plans? Thanks

Ummm..... head over to the Twins site. In the meantime, have a look at the Wiki from there:

slip on means, just that. It slips on. You either clamp it or retain with springs.

      There are also bolt on.

As a general rule most all exhausts separate between the (front) header and the (rear)collector/can.
