O ring size
I've put in an order for 2 carb o rings at my local Suzuki dealer several weeks ago and they have not come in yet. So I'm looking to see if I can get them someplace else (Amazon?) but I need to know the correct size. The Suzuki part#/description is: 09280-05004 O ring (D:1.9, ID:4.8). Does that mean diameter (thickness of ring): 1.9mm, inside diameter:4.8mm? Thanks!Tags: None

I love the 'metric o rings' which are 1.9mm [5/64"] X 4.8mm [3/16"] . It's like all these metric bicycle standards like 31.8mm seat post tubes - as if somebody would design a seat post to be 31.8 instead of 32mm . But 1 1/4" is - Bingo! - 31.8mm.
If you live in 'metric' Canada you soon learn that coffee comes in 454 gram quantities and plywood is 2440 X 4880mm . I don't care, but it is pretty humorous; as if converting the number from something straightforward to millimetres makes something metric.
I buy my o rings from a place that makes agricultural sprayers. I figure if it can stand up to that stuff it'll withstand whatever I'm doing.'82 GS450T
